Background & StructureTourism Noosa is a Local Tourism Organisation (LTO) charged with the strategic marketing of the Noosa region to domestic and international consumers, trade and the media.
We are a membership based organisation with around 475 members coming from a diverse range of backgrounds including accommodation providers, tour operators, retail businesses, real estate agents, fitness centres, health spas and wineries just to name a few.
All of these businesses share one thing in common - they are committed to the development of sustainable tourism within our region. With this in mind, all activities conducted by our organisation are guided by our 10-year Sustainable Tourism Plan.
Established for over 10 years, we are a not-for-profit organisation which reports to the Tourism Noosa Board of Directors. The board consists of representatives from our membership, industry, community and the Noosa Council. The Noosa BrandIn 2010, Tourism Noosa launched Phase 3, the outcome of an extensive brand revitalisation process with a new evolution in the destination and organisation’s corporate and consumer branding.
The new brand – By Noosa – aims to convey that a visit to Noosa is not just about what you will do here but how it will make you feel, during the holiday and for years to come. The campaign that will introduce the new brand positions Noosa as a place that helps you to feel alive and rejuvenated, that creates warm memories of growing up and where days begin at the beach and end with a quiet afternoon rest.
It aims to deliver a sustainable differentiation for destination Noosa, offer an experience that can be delivered on and build a sense of momentum about the brand that appeals to consumer aspirations.
Tourism Noosa also produces a suite of brochures designed to inform visitors at each stage of the holiday decision making process. Visitor Information CentresTourism Noosa runs two accredited Visitor Information Centres located at Hastings Street Noosa Heads and Noosa Marina in Tewantin. Our centres receive in excess of 33,000 visitors per month in addition to the countless email and phone enquiries. A new state-of-the-art Visitor Information Centre opened on Hastings Street in February 2009, featuring digital display screens, an exhibition space, public artwork not to mention a wealth of information on what to see and do whilst in Noosa. Go to the Visitor Information Centre page for more details. |
